Carbon Offsets

Offsets are the last step, not the first.

The sequence that works is measure, reduce, then offset what genuinely remains. Offsetting an unmeasured footprint tells you very little and is increasingly difficult to defend to a board or a customer.

The offset market has changed. Buyers are now expected to show what they measured, what they reduced, and why the residual was offset rather than eliminated. An offset purchase without that history behind it is a weak position.

What we do

For clients who have completed a measurement and reduction process, we arrange offset procurement and retirement, and we support Climate Active certification where that is the objective. We advise on unit type and provenance, and we document the transaction so it stands up alongside the rest of your emissions reporting.

Our approach

Offsets are not a substitute for measurement, and we offset only a footprint we have measured.

If you have not yet measured, start with a carbon audit. The offset conversation is more useful on the other side of it.
