NATIONAL GREENHOUSE AND ENERGY REPORTING SCHEME

Emission Statement’s NGER Audit and Assurance services relate to the The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme, the national framework for corporations to report greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. Emission Statement can assist with original submissions, or provide assurance of internally created greenhouse inventories. To discuss these services in detail please call us on (02) 90253946 or Contact Us .

Registration and Reporting for NGER is completed through the OSCAR SYSTEM – an online reporting system which Emission Statement can assist in using and navigating. This system can be somewhat confusing for new users and our consultant have experience in building the relevant organisational structures and submitting required information.

NGER reporting is stringently governed and companies that reach the below thresholds should now have registered through to the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency.

Directors of companies not complying with the Act, by registering and reporting when a facility or corporate group is eligible, are liable for fines of up to $220,000.

Emission Statement has already helped companies as diverse as George Weston Foods, Uniting Church of NSW and Ensham Mining in fully complying with their NGER reporting obligations.
